Solo Footwork Lesson (On2)

Note: This is a sample lesson to give you a taste of Patrick and Scarlet’s teaching methodology. You can sign-up for the full salsa program here.

This lesson is from one of our footwork challenges and it’s a perfect example that you don’t need a partner to improve your salsa on Dance Dojo.

It’s broken into two sections: experienced beginner, and intermediate. We’ll take you through it step-by-step and if you need help on a certain move we have complete breakdowns for each step in our members area. We don’t just teach patterns here at Dance Dojo, we teach you how to dance!

Progress at your own pace and use the practice videos at the end of each section to dance along with us to the music.

Ready? Vamonos!

La Musica: Charlie Aponte – Buscaré

First, take a look at what the move looks like and store a mental picture of what you’re trying to accomplish.

Section 1 Practice

Don’t rush on to the next section just yet. It’s time to get some practice in! Repetition is a key part to learning. Once you understand how to do something work it into your muscle memory and close the gap between knowing what to do and making it look and feel good.
