These practice sessions are open to anyone and everyone. Some dancers show up every week and some only occasionally, so don’t feel like you have to commit to coming. It’s a casual atmosphere with dancers of all levels. No partner necessary! This is a great opportunity to practice steps you’re not totally comfortable with and meet a bunch of friendly salsa dancers.

How it works: There is no formal instruction; instead, everyone helps each other improve their dancing – or people just social dance for fun. Want to know more? Check the TSP Facebook page for updates.

Sundays

Toronto Dance Salsa Social

Start time: 6-9pm
Music: Salsa & latin rhythms
Price: $7
Location: Empress Walk Studio, 5095 Yonge Street, 2nd Floor

The Toronto Dance Sunday Salsa Social was created for students and friends to practice their salsa in a comfortable, non-intimidating environment. At a TDS social you don’t need a partner or a friend. Feel free to come alone as this is very common. Leaders will ask followers to dance and vice versa. Most people switch partners after every dance, although it’s completely acceptable to dance with the same few partners throughout the night. This event is all about having fun and meeting new people so come with an open attitude and you’ll have a great time! Get the latest from the TDS Facebook page.
